Paul Biddle

Research Fellow, Department of Social Sciences, Northumbria University (2006-to date). My research interests are around prisons and incarceration  - particularly experiences of older prisoners and mentally unwell offenders and associated policy and practice. – and I have published on mental health diversion services, self-harm and suicide in prisons and prisoner resettlement. I also have an interest in non-custodial punishment and policy and practice to tackle domestic abuse. I am keen to develop research that explores the role food plays in prisons.
