Prof Karen McKenzie
Karen completed her first degree in Psychology at the University of Edinburgh, where she subsequently undertook her professional training as a Clinical Psychologist, her doctorate in Psychology and MSc in elearning. She has worked with people with developmental disabilities for over 20 years, both within the NHS and non-statutory organisations. She joined Northumbria University in 2014 after a number of years working at the University of Edinburgh. She co-developed the ‘Learning Disability Screening Questionnaire’ and ‘Child and Adolescent Intellectual Disability Screening Questionnaire’ both of which are used nationally and internationally in clinical and forensic settings.
